This was the damnest thing to figure out. No instructions and no examples and only one size cord. I made it work, I think it is tight enough and it will hold, but it was not easy! I folded the seat forward so I could slip it behind and up through the thingie that holds the armrest, then put the seat back in position, and it caught.

Ordered a custom cover since we couldn t find a car with bench seats for our 65lb pup. Bob was great to work with and super fast with responding to our custom request. We got the bridge for the horizontal gap between the captains chairs and the custom cover has an add in vertical support for the gap between the seat backs and the option of flipping one side over so my niece can share the back seat. The material is very heavy and we are excited to see how the pup does on his first voyage. Finding placed for the cords was interesting but once done the cover seems secure.

I purchased one of these and a captain seat add-on directly from Dog Shell. The captain seat add on bridges the gap between the captain type seats. Both have worked extremely well and I am very pleased. We have two big dogs and the Dog Shell products turned the middle seat area into a flat platform for them. We added dog beds to make long trips more comfortable.
However, where this company really shines is there customer service. The captain seat add on was a new product and they answered my questions as soon as I asked them regardless of time or day of the week. We were under a timeline and when the USPS tracking wasn't working, they had planned to overnight a replacement at several times the cost of the product. Fortunately, it wasn't necessary.
I can't say enough positive things about this company and their products.
